PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-composite type stainless damping steel plate excellent in contamination resistance capable of satisfying various properties simultaneously which are required for a case cover of precision electronic products. SOLUTION: In the resin-composite type stainless damping steel plate for precision machinery cover which is obtained by laminating stainless steel plates via a viscoelastic resin, at least the surface of the inside of the precision machinery cover has no fine grain boundary grooves along the grain boundary, the side of the stainless steel plate surface which is bounded to the viscoelastic resin is applied with either a chromate treatment, a non-chromate treatment, a silan coupling agent treatment or a primer treatment. The surface finish of the stainless steel plate is dull finished on the external surface side of the precision machinery cover. As the viscoelastic resin, a thermosetting amorphous polyester-based resin which contains the proportion of nickel particles and/or 1 to 30 wt.% stainless particles of the resin is used.
