PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delivery instruction system that can output delivery instructions for printed matter controlled with the edition number, in response to a delivery request of the printed matter received from a customer.

SOLUTION: This delivery instruction system which outputs instructions for delivery work of the printed matter in response to the delivery request of the printed matter received from the customer is provided with a revision information registering means for registering the revision information of the printed matter in advance; a delivery request receiving means for receiving the delivery request including printed matter specifying information for specifying the printed matter to be delivered; a delivery edition number determining means for determining the edition number of the printed matter requested for delivery, on the basis of the revision information; and a delivery instruction output means for originating and outputting delivery instruction data on the basis of the delivery request and the edition number determined by the delivery edition number determining means.
