摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device for an image forming device that can reduce torque supplied to a drive shaft for rotating a push-up lever for a paper feeding tray even in the full load state of recording media on the paper feeding tray and can reduce the fluctuation width of torque caused by a large or small quantity of recording media. SOLUTION: The bottom face of the back face of a push-up plate is provided with a projecting body 12b contacting the tip part of the push-up lever 14. One end part of the push-up lever 14 is fixed to a drive shaft 14a, and the push-up lever 14 is rotatable around the drive shaft 14a. The push-up lever 14 contacts the projecting body 12b at a contact point S. In the full load state of recording media, the tilt angleθof the push-up lever 14 is small, the contact point S moves onto the drive shaft 14a side, and the effective length L of the push-up lever is short to reduce torque supplied to the drive shaft. With the decrease of the recording media, the tilt angleθof the push-up lever becomes large, the contact point S moves onto the tip side of the push-up lever, and the effective length of the push-up lever becomes long, but the decrease of the recording media reduces torque, and the fluctuation width of torque becomes small.
