<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for cleaning granular articles that prevents the deterioration of flavor caused by oxidation by preventing articles to be cleaned and treated from oxidizing while maintaining a high cleaning function, and capable of shortening an immersion time. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a booster pump for applying pressure to rinse water, a booster tank for dissolving gas in the rinse water to which pressure is applied by the booster pump, and a storage tank for storing the granular articles which are cleaned by the rinse water in the booster tank in which the gas is dissolved.
