PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a noble metal colloidal organosol having a high concentration of 10 mmol/kg or more, particularly the high concentration of 100 mmol/kg or more, and monodispersing a particle with a nanooder size without using a special material and apparatus. SOLUTION: A material for the noble metal colloidal organosol is characterized by comprising a complex gel composed of a noble metal compound obtained by mixing and stirring the noble metal compound with a surfactant having a molar ratio to the noble metal compound of not less than 1 and the surfactant, and a method for manufacturing the noble metal colloidal organosol is characterized by reducing the complex gel.
