PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine upstreaming installation capable of improving productivity of coast of which the depth is several tens meter or more and in which growing of phytoplanktons (and photosynthesis thereof) is difficult because of lack of nutriment, and capable making a stream of bottom sea water rich in the nutriment ascend to the coast of which the depth is about 20 m. SOLUTION: This submarine upstreaming installation is composed of a flexible tetragonal curtain, wherein the top edge of the curtain is joined to floats floating on the sea surface or in the sea water through ropes, and the bottom edge thereof is directly fasten to the sea bottom with anchors or indirectly connected to the sea bottom through ropes, etc., so that the top edge is located in the sea water near to the sea surface and the whole of the flexible curtain is arranged so as to be inclined in the sea water. The installation forms a new ecological system based on the growing of the phytoplanktons and realizes fishing with continuity and effectiveness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
