MEMBER FOR SLOWLY RELEASING VOLATILE CHEMICAL AND AIR CONDITIONER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for slowly releasing a volatile chemical in which a user easily checks the residue of the volatile chemical within the member for slowly releasing the volatile chemical by his own judgement. SOLUTION: A space in which steam volatilized from the volatile chemical is stagnant is formed between the control film of the volatilizing amount and the humidity sensitive film. A humidity sensitive member which varies in color by the amount of humidity is arranged in the space. The steam of the volatile chemical stagnant in the space is slowly released outside the humidity sensitive film in accordance with environmental changes in humidity, while this steam is being held below a specified steam concentration in the space defined by the control film of the volatilizing amount and the humidity sensitive film. When the amount of the volatile chemical becomes below a specified amount, humidity infiltrates into the inside of space from the humidity sensitive film and this humidity sensitive film is changed in color, thus informing the user that the residue of the volatile chemical becomes below the specified amount.
