PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly sensitive method for measuring a small intestine- type alkali phosphotase, and further to provide a reagent for measurement. SOLUTION: This method for measuring the alkali phosphotase comprises measuring a specimen by using an alkali phosphotase-measuring reagent for selectively and nearly equally inhibiting a liver-type alkali phosphotase and a bone-type alkali phosphotase, to obtain the total value of the measured alkali phosphotase while increasing the abundance ratio of the activities of the small intestine-type alkali phosphotase.
