PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components necessary for regulating the gap between a mantle 13 and a conecave 14. SOLUTION: A mantle 13 and a conecave 14 are provided opposite to each other within cylindrical upper and lower frames 12, 11, which are coaxial with each other, and a material a to be treated is fed into a portion between the mantle and the conecave being rotated and is crushed. The upper frame is screwed into the lower frame so as to be liftable/lowerable, the conecave is mounted directly on the inner surface of the upper frame, and a wedge 51 for locking the lifting/lowering of the frame is provided between the upper and lower frames. Upon the lifting/lowering of the upper frame, the conecave can also be lifted/lowered to change the gap between the conecave and the mantle. This can eliminate the need to provide the conventional bowl-shaped shell. The wedge can easily obtain the fitting force and has high pressure contact force, and, thus, reliable locking can be realized. A hydraulic cylinder for a wedge is of a double acting type and is constructed so that a hydraulic chamber in its end wall, to which hydraulic pressure is applied at the time of fitting of the wedge, functions as a piston wall energized by a disc spring to keep the fitting force of the wedge constant even upon the occurrence of leak in the hydraulic circuit.
