PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo deterioration-preventing agent inhibiting the deterioration of a food caused by light for improving the quality of a finished product in view of the fact that in recent years, natural vitamin E, etc., are used as the photo deterioration-preventing agent for the food, but the effect of photo deterioration prevention by the vitamin E, etc., for the food is not necessarily sufficient and the photo deterioration-preventing agent having a sufficient effectiveness and having a high safety as those of the vitamin E, etc., is desired. SOLUTION: This photo deterioration-preventing agent is provided by incorporating at least 1 kind selected from a group consisting of Phyllanthus embilica, L., Ocimum sabctum and Centclla asiatica L.
