PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cemented carbide pushing broach and a broaching method by which broaching for removing the distortion of a spline hole due to heat treatment is carried out at low cost without using an expensive special purpose broaching machine and an expensive broach. SOLUTION: This is a set of cemented carbide pushing broaches 1, each of which has a slightly increased different outside diameter. Each of the broaches 1 has spline teeth 2, which has the same number of teeth as those of the preparatively machined spline hole 7 of a workpiece 4 and has one cutting edge 8 formed at the tip end thereof, and a shank 3 at the rear side of the cutting edge 8. Broaching is carried out such that a set of the cemented carbide pushing broaches 1 are successively used by changing them in order from the cemented carbide pushing broach having the small tooth thickness and/or the small outside diameter to the cemented carbide pushing broach having the slightly large tooth thickness and/or the slightly large outside diameter.
