PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snore preventing instrument capable of suppressing a snore. SOLUTION: This mouth closing tape 1 is equipped with a pressure-sensitive self-adhesive tape 3 having an opening 2 formed to the central part thereof and air permeable gauze 4 arranged to the pressure-sensitive self-adhesive tape 3 so as to close the opening 2. This mouth closing tape is bonded so as to cover a person's mouth or the peripheral edge thereof and suppresses the opening of the mouth during sleeping to suppress the generation of snoring.
