PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forefront of an endoscope not having paths for sending air and water other than that for inserting processing tools which is capable of securing a favorable optical observation capability by sending air and water toward the surface of an observation window through the path for inserting processing tools. SOLUTION: In the forefront of the endoscope in which the forefront opening 5 of the path 4 for the processing tools 100 to be inserted and removed and the observation window 3 are arranged in parallel, a cap-shaped member 10 equipped with a nozzle 11 that converts a flow direction of a fluid sent out from the forefront opening 5 of the path 4 for processing tools to be inserted to the surface direction of the observation window 3 is installed in a way that can be freely attached and detached.
