<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a noninavaive method for detecting, locating and pursuing a pathogen and other bodies in an organism of mammal, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This noninavaive method for detecting the expression of a heterogene in a living nonhuman mammal object and comprises a process for providing a nonhuman mammal object having a cell containing a transducing gene in which (i) the transducing gene contains a heterogene encoding a bioluminescent protein or fluorogenic protein and (ii) the object contains opaque tissue and a process for detecting the expression of the heterogene by assaying photon radiation passing through the opaque tissue by using a photodetector in which the object is maintained in a condition allowing the expression of the heterogene by the cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
