PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head and a method of purging capable of readily performing the purging by a simple structure without consuming a large amount of ink. SOLUTION: First and second ink passage holes 31, 32 communicate with a first common supply passage 17. A third ink passage hole 33 communicates with a second common supply passage 18 through a filter 16. The ink in an ink tank 40 is distributed to each of nozzles 15 through the first ink passage hole 31, the first common supply passage 17, the filter 16, and the second common supply passage 18. The purging operation in the above structure is performed by being divided into three stages of the first one to the first common supply passage 17, the second one to the second common supply passage 18 and the third one to each of nozzles 15. As a result, a bubble in the second common supply passage 18 can be directly discharged to the outside through the second ink passage hole 33 so that it is possible to surely remove the bubble.
