MEMBER FOR SLOWLY RELEASING VOLATILE CHEMICAL AND AIR CONDITIONER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for slowly releasing a volatile chemical which averages the releasing speed of the volatile chemical at a low concentration and sufficiently copes with the change in humidity and hence prevents the unnecessary release thereof, and also to provide the structure of the member in which the volatilizing amount of the volatile chemical is less prone to be affected in spite of the gradual reduction of the liquid amount thereof with the elapse of time. SOLUTION: The control film of the volatilizing amount which controls the volatilizing amount of the volatile chemical in a state that the liquid chemical is solidified or made more viscous is externally mounted, and a humidity sensitive film which varies the permeation amount thereof by the change in humidity is mounted on the control film of the volatilizing amount. A space part in which steam volatilized from the volatile chemical is stagnant is formed between the control film of the volatilizing amount and the humidity sensitive film, and the steam of the volatile chemical stagnant in the space part is slowly released outside the humidity sensitive film in accordance with environmental changes in humidity while this steam is being held below a specified steam concentration in the space part defined by the control film of the volatilizing amount and the humidity sensitive film.
