PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial stem which can substantially lengthen the stem of a flower with a short stem. SOLUTION: A capillary action generating organization is formed inside the tube main body part 2. The stem of a flower with a short stem is inserted into the upper end opening of the tube main body 2 and a contact part 9 is brought in tightly contact with the outer periphery of the stem. The lower end of the tube main body is dipped in a water source to make moisture from the water source be absorbed in the flower through the capillary action generating organization.
