PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hygienic method for maintaining remains, capable of favorably maintaining the conditions of the remains until a funeral ceremony finishes, suitable for prevention of infection and free from the waste matter. SOLUTION: A negative electric charge of 50 V to 5,000 V is continuously applied through electrodes having sufficient contact areas to the remains placed on an insulator and the temperature of the remains is kept at≤10°C by installation of a cold insulating material. The cold insulating material and these electrodes used there and related materials thereof are fed by rental and recovered and sterilized and reused. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
