A flooring adapter device is disclosed herein for providing a transitional flooring surface between two flooring materials of different heights. The flooring adapter device includes an elongated, substantially-flat member. Such elongated, substantially-flat member has a lower surface including a generally-planar base portion which is configured to be affixed to a floor surface and having a first width, and first and second generally-L-shaped shoulders formed at opposite ends of the base portion. The L-shaped shoulder s respectively define first and second flooring-material-receiving cavities. Such elongated , substantially- flat member also has an upper surface including a central portion which is sloped relative to the base portion and which has a second width and first and second end portions which are formed at opposite ends of the central portion. The end portions connect the upper surface to the shoulders. The first width is less than the second width.</SD OAB> |
