<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA encoding a gene of flavonoid 3',5'-hydroxylase (F3', 5'H) of petal plant Senecio cruentus. <P>SOLUTION: This DNA of 1512bp encodes F3',5'H protein of Senecio cruentus. The protein encoded by DNA sequence of the 1512bp size is F3', 5'H protein of Senecio cruentus and is confirmed to have an amino acid sequence composed of 504 amino acid residues. The DNA encoding F3', 5'H of Senecio cruentus is useful for obtaining diversity of flower colors when transduced into a petal flower body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
