PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body structure of an automobile capable of improving the rigidity of a coupling part of each side member with a cross-member and not requiring high accuracy in coupling operation. SOLUTION: The rear body structure of the automobile is configured so that left and right side members are coupled with each other by the cross- member, wherein the coupling part of each side member 20 with the cross- member 40 is reinforced with a reinforcing member 30.
