<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonhuman animal with an expression level of brain immunoglobulin molecule with tyrosine activation motifs (BIT) gene knockouted or reduced from that of a wild type. <P>SOLUTION: This nonhuman animal is prepared by constructing a targeting vector for making a region containing an initiation codon of a first exon of the BIT gene deficient, transducing the resultant construct into an ES cell, producing a homologous recombinant and mating the resultant recombinant with a chimeric mouse prepared from the ES cell.
