PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to form electric field direction of central area of pixel electrodes in conformity with a rubbing direction, thereby preventing the color shift and removing the disclination lines. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes counter and pixel electrodes disposed in unit pixels defined by traverse gate bus lines(100) and storage capacitance bus lines(200) and longitudinal data bus lines(300) intersecting the gate bus lines and the storage capacitance bus lines perpendicularly on a lower substrate(90), and liquid crystal molecules implanted between the substrates to be driven by electric fields formed between the counter and pixel electrodes. The pixel electrodes(500) are formed with oblique upper and lower slits, wherein the upper and lower slits are symmetrical to each other at least in the upper and lower direction according to the direction of the electric fields. Central slits of the pixel electrodes are formed with electric fields, of which directions at right and left end parts are in conformity with a rubbing direction.
