PURPOSE: An apparatus for shielding heat in a lighting system using microwaves is provided to prevent the heat of a lamp from being transmitted to a reflective portion by installing one ore more heat-sink members between the lamp and the reflection portion. CONSTITUTION: A lighting system includes a magnetron(2), a lamp(5), and a reflective portion(7). The magnetron is used for generating microwaves. The lamp is installed in the inside of a resonator(6) connected with the magnetron. An encapsulation material of the lamp is excited and illuminated by the microwaves generated from the magnetron. The reflective portion reflects the light to an arbitrary direction. A plurality of heat-sink members(10,20) are installed between the lamp and the reflection portion in order to prevent the heat of the lamp from being transmitted to the reflective portion.
