PURPOSE: An integrated remote meter reading system using wire and wireless complex communication is provided to obtain remotely the meter reading data by using a wire and wireless complex communication method for transmitting the reading data to a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gauges(110,115) measure the usage of energy and transmit reading data and corresponding user IDs. A plurality of SCUs(120,125) are connected with the gauges in order to transmit the remote reading data to predetermined paths. A plurality of MCUs(130,140) are connected with the MCUs in order to perform a relay function and a data conversion function. An FEP(Front End Processor)(140) is connected with the MCUs in order to support various protocols, obtain the remote reading data, initialize a modem, and a transmit an alarm message. An AMR server(160) is connected with the FEP in order to manage the remote meter reading data.
