PURPOSE: An electrode holder for electric furnace is provided to rigidly stably clamp an electrode so as to prevent the electrode from being damaged by dropping down, resulting in prevention of facility accident, increase of productivity, and operator's safety. CONSTITUTION: The electrode holder for electric furnace comprises a body(520) mounted on an opposite side of a piston to which a clamping ring is connected, the body having a round passage hole formed inside; an air line(503) for spraying compressed air into the body(520); a jaw(510) inserted into an inlet of the body and having five teeth protruded at a front side, a barrel protruded rearward and threaded therearound, and having a central passage hole penetrating front and rear sides; a connection rod(530) of which front end is connected to a rear side of the jaw so as to be inserted into the body and rear side is tapered rearward and inserted through the air passage hole; a piston(540) inserted into the body, of which front end portion is tapered correspondingly to the tapered portion of the connection rod and having a passage hole in order for the air to flow therethrough; a cover(560) installed at the rear portion of the piston and sealed at the rear side of the body and having a passage hole at the center for supplying the air; and a plate spring(550) installed between the cover and the piston.
