PURPOSE: A ferro-electric liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to keep a cell gap uniform and prevent the generation of serious failure such as the pollution of active areas and the chalking of an implantation hole caused by the bad seal spreading and gas discharge during a sealant curing step. CONSTITUTION: A ferro-electric liquid crystal display device includes a sealant pocket(11) forming a space in a predetermined area in seal printing lines(2) of an upper or lower substrate(10) for guiding uniform spreading of a sealant patterned along the seal printing lines, and seal partition walls(12) formed with a predetermined height on the peripheries of active areas(4), which serves as display areas, on the upper or lower substrate for spatially separating the space from the active areas. |
