PURPOSE: An instant payment system and method is provided to enable an affiliated store to instantly receive a payment when a user uses a loan, a credit, or a debit card. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a plurality of affiliated store terminals(100), a VAN(Value Added Network) computer(200), a plurality of card company or bank computers(300), a server(400), and a cooperation bank computer(500). The affiliated store terminals(100) output card approval request data to the VAN computer(200), receive a transaction approval or cancellation, and enable a user to make payment for a commodity or a service at the affiliated store. The VAN computer(200) receives the card approval request from the terminals(100), transmits the card approval request to the corresponding card company or bank computer(300), and transmits the card approval result to the terminals(100). The card company or bank computers(300) approve the card approval request, and transmit the card approval or transaction cancellation to the VAN computer(200). The server(400) sets a cooperation treaty with a specific bank on an instant payment service by a loan, a credit or a debit card, collects affiliated stores which want the instant payment service, and makes the instant payment for the affiliated stores if the normal card data are transmitted from the terminals(100). The cooperation bank computer(500) sets a cooperation treaty with the server(400) on the instant payment service, instantly deposits the payment amount to an account of the affiliated store as soon as the server(400) requests it, and afterwards receives the payment amount from the card company or bank computers(300).
