PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling proportionally a molding process are provided to reduce an error rate and a manufacturing cost in an EPS(Expandable PolyStyrene) molding process by optimizing conditions according to an external variation. CONSTITUTION: A main computer(100) outputs control data including various sequence timing for an EPS molding process, compares detection data with reference data of a database, and a proportional control operation according to a compared result. A plurality of molding portions(200) have respectively a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)(210) in order to receive control data through a LAN and perform the EPS molding process according to the sequence timing. A sensor interface portion(300) detects a steam pressure, an air pressure, temperature of cooling water, a variation of pressure of cooling water supplied to the molding portions, converts the detected data to digital data, and outputs the digital data to the main computer.
