PURPOSE: A method for compensating temperature of chest type kimchi jar refrigerator is provided to prevent decrease of temperature of a compartment whose temperature is set to be high. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a step calculating difference according to set temperature of a left side compartment and a right side compartment; a step calculating compensating temperature according to the difference; and a step compensating the compensating temperature in one of the compartments whose temperature is changed to keep temperature of the compartments at set temperature to remove unbalance of cycle due to difference of temperature between the compartments.
