PURPOSE: A process for producing a secondary cell having an exterior pouch is provided to prevent the formation of non-uniform parts at the end of the case into which the secondary cell assembly is located. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing a secondary cell having an exterior pouch comprises the steps of: preparing exterior pouch consisting of a case(25) which is opened at one side thereof and has the interior space in which a cell assembly(21) is contained and a flange(27) on the edge, and a cover(26) extended from the case(25); mounting the cell assembly(21) into the interior space of the case(25); folding the cover(26) along the border between the case(25) and the cover(26); and cutting the cover by the difference compared with the end line of the case(25) at which a lid(23) is positioned.
