PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to float an address electrode during a sustain period by installing a diode at a data voltage source side. CONSTITUTION: An address driving portion drives an address electrode. An energy recovery portion is connected with the address driving portion to float the address electrode during a sustain period. The energy recovery portion includes an inductor(L), the first switch(S1), the first diode(D1), the second diode(D2), the second switch(S2), the third switch(S3), the fourth switch(S4), and the third diode(D3). The inductor is connected between a source capacitor(Cs) and the address driving portion. The first switch, the first diode, the second diode, and the second switch are connected in parallel between the source capacitor and the inductor. The third switch and the fourth switch are connected between the inductor and the address driving portion. The third diode is installed between the third switch and the address driving portion in order to prevent the current supplied from the address electrode during the sustain period. |
