PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire for heavy load is provided to prevent partial-side wear from occurring between blocks by suppressing moving of a block contacting with the ground during running, and to prevent lowering of traction after wear. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire for heavy load comprises a tread portion(1), a side wall(2), and a bead portion(3). The tread portion is divided into plural blocks(10). A protrusion(102) is formed on a side(101) of the block, and a groove(112) to insert the protrusion in is formed on a side(111) of the adjacent block. Accordingly, moving of the block contacting with the ground is suppressed and partial-side wear between blocks is prevented.
