PURPOSE: A system for correcting color registration of an electro-photograph image forming device and a method thereof are provided to quantitatively detect errors of a sensor itself by test printing and correct the errors in advance, thereby preventing the mis-registration caused by sensing errors and improving the color registration. CONSTITUTION: A system for correcting color registration of an electro-photograph image forming device includes an exposure unit(20) for scanning laser beams for selectively exposing a photosensitive medium to form a stationary latent image on a surface of the charged photosensitive medium and simultaneously exposing a transfer belt to form predetermined marks(70), a sensor(40) for sensing the marks on the transfer belt, a color registration amending value determining part(50) for calculating an amending value of color registration from mis-registration values between marks sensed by the sensor, an input unit(91) for inputting correction values of the sensed errors generated by the sensor itself, a color registration correcting value determining part(90) for calculating a correction value of the color registration by correcting sensing time points of the sensor from the correction values, and an image control part(60) for controlling the exposure initiation time point per color by applying the correction values supplied from the color registration correcting value determining part with respect to the amending values.
