A workstation (Fig. 1A) is provided comprising multiple worktops and adjustable easel facilities for reading, writing, drawing, and computer usage. Two worktops (174, 186) project adjacently on heavy-duty drawer slides between a separate, higher desktop (172) and a slidable, lower worktop (176). A first easel board (170) may be applied for use, if desired, in a sloping position astride the desktop (172) and the upper worktop (174) jointly. These combined elements (170, 172, 174) form a computer keyboard easel (178). A computer keyboard (171) may be stabilized in an operationally accessible position on the upper portion of the first easel board (170), and writing material (173) may be placed on the lower portion thereof. Hereby is disclosed a more comfortable, ergonomic way of deploying and using a computer keyboard. A portable desk easel (185, Fig. 1A; Fig. 4A) comprises a detachable, second easel board (180), an adjustable easel rack (187), an adjustable strut (188), and a base board (184). It (185) is supported on the third worktop (186), but may also be used on any table, or desk, or on one's laptop. This second easel board (180) is adjustable upon the easel rack (187): for angle of inclination, by an adjustable strut (188); for height, by means of vertically spaced, rib-like stays or detents (182a-f and 183a-d); for width, by adding thereto (187) an auxiliary easel board (181); and for overall size by overlaying thereon (180) a large easel board (164). Several accessories (Figs. 20 to 23, and 7) are provided for use on the easel boards (170, 180, 181) to improve their versatility and space-efficiency. These accessories include a multi-purpose rack (295), an adjustable book rack (264), a height-adjustment rack (7), a document rack (277), writing supports (282a,b,c), and an elbow support (298). The preferred workstation includes mobility on castors, and a hutch with adjustable shelves. |
