摘要 A vessel is connected to means of circulating a liquid to be treated, and contains an anode, a cathode and an ultrasound emitter. The ultrasound emitter is placed to emit ultrasound into the volume of the device. Organic molecules are broken down in the vessel and the liquid circulation and emission of ultrasound increases the mass transfer, cleans the electrodes and degasses the effluent. A vessel is connected to means of circulating a liquid to be treated, and contains an anode, a cathode and an ultrasound emitter. The ultrasound emitter is placed to emit ultrasound into the volume of the device. Organic molecules are broken down in the vessel and the liquid circulation and emission of ultrasound increases the mass transfer, cleans the electrodes and degasses the effluent. The liquid circulates in a direction parallel to the electrodes and the ultrasound emitter can emit high or low frequency ultrasound. The vessel is cylindrical, the electrodes are parallel to the vertical wall of the vessel, or are disc-shaped with a central opening, placed parallel to each other and to the bottom of the vessel. The ultrasound emitter passes through the central openings. The means of circulating the liquid includes an inlet for liquid to be treated at the bottom of the vessel, preferably in the middle, and an outlet for treated liquid on the side wall of the vessel near the top. The emitter is a low or high frequency emitter with radial emission, laced in the center of the vessel and connected to a source of alternating current. AN Independent claim is also included for a process for breaking down organic molecules present in a liquid effluent where the effluent is subjected to electrolysis and ultrasound, where the mass transfer is increased, the electrodes cleaned and the degassing carried out by circulating the effluent and emitting ultrasound. This process uses the device described above. A conducting salt is added to the effluent to give sufficient electrical conductivity. It is then sent to the device and electrolyzed with a current density of between 25 and 50 mA/cm<2>, preferably around 35 mA/cm<2> and treated with low or high frequency ultrasound. The treated effluent is then removed from the device.
