PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device for an information recording medium through which various kinds of control and services such as computing rental charges and lending/returning of digital books are simply conducted in accordance with access situation. SOLUTION: Access information such as the date of the access made for the main information processed by an access information processing section 34B, the number of pages, the charges or the like is recorded in a second UTOC region of a disk 12. The main information is stored in a buffer memory 34A and outputted to a display device 40 or an I/F 44 after the recording of the access information. The access information recorded in the disk 12 is outputted during disk controls such as charge requests in a rental shop and edited by an access information editing section 50A of a host computer 50. Having arranged the above constitution, charge requests corresponding to the access situation are made possible. Moreover, the access information is accumulated in a host memory 50B and statistically processed. |
