PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cold curable antibacterial photocatalytic coating material having an antibacterial effect and excellent in hot water resistance and alkali resistance by mixing a coating material with a photocatalyst which comprises a low-cost oxide and exhibits a photocatalytic activity in a visible light region, and to provide an antibacterial photocatalytic member. SOLUTION: The antibacterial photocatalytic coating material contains an acrylic silicone coating material, an organic solvent and a photocatalyst, wherein the photocatalyst comprises an oxide composite having a joint of oxide semiconductors (I) and (II) having characteristics photocatalytic for each other, and different in both the energy level of electrons on the bottom of a conduction band and the energy level of electrons at the top of a valence band in the energy band structure on the basis of a vacuum level, at least one of the oxide semiconductors has a catalytic activity even in a visible light region, and the oxide composite has a heterobond consisting of a p-type oxide semiconductor and an n-type oxide semiconductor. An antibacterial photocatalytic base member is obtained by using this coating material. |
