PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera and a finder capable of changing a field rate according to use. SOLUTION: By following instructions inputted from an operation part 6, a CPU 2 reads out a fixed field frame 71 showing the field rate of 100% and a frame 72 showing the field rate of 80% from an EEPROM so as to display them on a display device 35 in finder display control processing. Or an opaque fixed field frame 81 and a translucent fixed field frame 82 are simultaneously displayed. Or the fixed field frame 81 is always displayed and a movable field frame 82 is displayed after switching the display or the non-display of the frame 82. Or a fixed field frame 101 is previously displayed on the display device 35, and a switching mechanism 44 is controlled to change the magnification of a finder image, whereby the field rate of the finder image is controlled to be 80% or 100%.
