A thermal bridge breaker (5) is located in a facade wall (1) opposite the nose of an interior slab (4). The breaker comprises a plate (6) of high thermal resistance and of width greater than thickness of the slab to be insulated. It is held in position by the poured casing of the wall by means of interior spacers (7,8) and external spacers (10,11) integral with the plate. An Independent claim is included fro a thermal bridge breaker.
