PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a finger or a nail to engage easily when operating an operation part of a write enable/disable setter in spite of a miniaturized and thin card. SOLUTION: This memory card is provided with a notched part 3 of a recessed part formed on a side part forming an outer shape in plane shape and the write enable/disable setter 4 fitted inside of the notched part 3 so as to freely slide for setting whether data can be written or not with an operation part 4a. With the write enable/disable setter 4, whether the data can be written or not is set by selecting either of a first position to cover part of the notched part or a second position to cover the other part. The outer shape of the write enable/disable setter is formed so that the part covering the notched part is approximately integrated with the outer shape of the memory card body 1, and a minute recessed part 4d is formed between a side edge of the memory card body at the side where the notched part is covered by the write enable/ disable setter and the operation part of the write enable/disable setter.
