PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital movie camera that can make consecutive shots when consecutive shots are set during recording of a moving picture. SOLUTION: When a moving picture photographing mode is set, a CCD is brought into a moving picture read mode and periodically outputs moving picture data where an image of one frame configuring the moving picture has comparatively low image quality. When a determination switch is depressed, the moving picture recording mode is selected and a memory card records moving picture data. When a shutter release button is depressed in the moving picture recording mode, the CCD is set to a still picture recording mode and outputs still picture data with comparatively high image quality. Consecutive shot is repeated until the still picture data by a prescribed number of consecutive shots are obtained. When the still picture data by a prescribed number of consecutive shots are obtained, the CCD is brought into the moving picture read mode. |
