LAN SYSTEM AND POWER SUPPLY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control system for a common device connected to a LAN system with a plurality of LAN ports and receiving power supplied from the LAN system that can control supply of power to the common device without the need for manual intervention on the basis of a result of detecting a change in a link state between the LAN system and clients connected thereto. SOLUTION: The power supply control system is configured such that the system detects a link state between the LAN system and the clients connected to LAN ports, supplies power to the common device connected to power ports when a link is formed between the LAN system and at least one of the clients, and stops the supply of power to the common device connected to the power port when no link is formed between the LAN system and all the clients.
