PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the CS (cationic surfactant) concentration level lower than the ppb level in water of rivers or in water of lakes and marshes wherein inorganic ions or high-concentration AS coexist can be separated and quantitatively determined. SOLUTION: This quantitative determination method of cationic surfactant in a sample solution is characterized in allowing the sample solution to pass through a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer particle packed disk and an anion- exchange resin packed disk, and thereafter subjecting the solution to a high- performance liquid chromatography.
