PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method of a base pin and a lead wire which can put a lead wire protruded from the tip of a base pin almost on the same plane with the tip of the base pin. SOLUTION: The connecting method of a base pin and a lead wire connecting a lead wire with a cylindrical base pin fitted to the end part of a bulb is composed of an insertion process of inserting a lead wire 3 into a base pin 2 so that the less wire 3 get protruded from the tip of the base pin, a calking process of connecting the lead wire 3 by calking the base pin 2, and a cutting process cutting the lead wire 3 protruded from the base pin 2 in a state where the tip of the base pin 2 is in contact with a cutter 6.
