<p>This invention relates to a filter device to treat the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine by a catalyst. Said device comprises a housing which is provided with opposite first and second end faces, an inlet opening positioned in the first end face, an outlet opening positioned in the second face, a first filter casing positioned inside the housing, its one end connected with the second end face, and the other end being closed; a second filter casing positioned inside the first filter casing, its one end connected with the second end face, and the other end being closed, and its inner chamber being communicated with the outlet opening. Said first and second filter casing are form of metal mesh, and provided with catalyst in a space between them. Exhaust gas can flow from outside of the first filter casing into the second filter casing. With this invention, it is possible to purify particular, CO, HC and NOx in exhaust gas.</p> |
