The die assembly (2) for a tool (1) for embossing, perforating, stamping and similar on a sheet comprises an upper member (12) with an exchangeable upper die (7) and a lower member (13) with an exchangeable lower die (19) separated from and opposite to the upper die, being complementary to it. The upper and lower dies are arranged in the die assembly so that they may be pressed resiliently against each other. - The upper and lower members are interconnected by a hinge (14), permitting rotation of the upper member in relation to the lower member, so that a substantial opening of the assembly is achieved for ease of access to the upper and lower dies.
