PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system of which, generation of high harmonic is prevented, capable of stably lighting regardless of the fluctuation of alternating current output voltage from a gas turbine generator. SOLUTION: For the lighting system 1 lighting a lighting device 18 for a discharge lamp by the output of the small-sized gas turbine generator G, a direct current output voltage V2 is obtained by chopping a rectified output voltage V1 by a chopper circuit 14, here, the output voltage V1 is obtained by rectifying the alternating current output voltage by a rectifying circuit 13. The direct current output voltage V2 is converted into an alternating current output with required frequency by an inverter circuit 17, and supplied to the lighting device 18 for the discharge lamp. The input current of the chopper circuit 14 is formed into a requested sine wave form by a control circuit 16. The chopping operation of the chopping circuit 14 is controlled so as to keep the level of the direct current output voltage V2 at a prescribed level. |
