<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing costs of a recorder/reproducer, and to record a large capacity of data corresponding to the needs of a user, and to validly use a communication line. SOLUTION: In this recording/reproduction system, moving picture data are recorded in a user's hard disk 15 of a recorder/reproducer 1, and when the overflow of the moving picture data is generated on the user's hard disk 15, the moving picture data whose overflow is generated are transmitted through a communication network 2 to a database server 3, and stored in a contents storing part 4 of the data base server 3, and the overlapped moving picture data re retrieved in the contents storing part 4, and when the received moving picture data are overlapped with the data already stored in the contents storing part 4, the transmission stop request of the moving picture data is transmitted to the recorder/reproducer 1.</p> |
