PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving the yield and reducing the cost at the time of manufacture, by preventing the circuit configuration from becoming complicated when forming an optical modulation element and a light emitting element within one pixel. SOLUTION: Within a display pixel 10, a reflecting area where a liquid crystal element 20 performs displaying by letting the area reflect external light and a transmission area 12 where an organic EL light emitting element 40, are provided together. The display device is provided with a pair of non- conductive substrates faced to each other, and both of the liquid crystal element 20 and organic EL light emitting element 40 are arranged between a pair of the non-conductive substrates. The source bus lines 2a, etc., and gate bus lines 3, etc., for driving the display pixels 10 arranged in a matrix form by the liquid crystal display element 20 and the organic EL light emitting element 40 are shared with each other. |
